Workshops

Stimulate your muse! A Purple Barn Studios workshop can expand your comfort zone, cultivate your creativity, and grow your artistic skills. Register for a one or multiple day workshop (with on-site accommodations). Indulge yourself in art and experience what the “the Burgh” has to offer. Be sure to bring your camera so you can take a ride downtown to see our wonderful three rivers and perhaps ride the incline down Mt. Washington. There is no other place like this in the world! Workshops on the weekends run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1 ½ -hour lunch break.

One and Two-Day Workshops: Workshops are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am or 10am to 5pm with lunch breaks. Out-of-town attendees are responsible for any on/off-site lodging costs. Off-site Accommodations.

Evening Mini-Workshops: These run from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Note: Due to minimum student requirements for each workshop, please register as early as possible to avoid workshop cancellation. If a workshop cancellation should occur, all registered students will be immediately notified and will receive a full refund.

Workshop fees: A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration. If you are registering within 6 weeks of the workshop date, the fee must be paid in full.

Materials Fee: Any additional fees due on the first day of the workshop, payable to the instructor

Workshop Size: The number of registrants for workshops depends on the type of workshop and the instructor’s preferences. If a workshop has less than the minimum students registered, the instructor has the option of canceling the class and those registered will receive a full refund.
Age Limits: All workshops are for adults
Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please do so as quickly as possible so your space may be available to another student.

Refunds: If your cancellation is received more than six weeks prior to workshops you will receive a full refund of all fees paid (less the $50 deposit fee). There is no refund for cancellations received less than six weeks prior to workshops except for dire emergencies (determined individually).

OPEN STUDIO NIGHTS: Stop by and work on your UFOs (unfinished objects), schmooze, collaborate, and celebrate hump day! You can bring your dinner and work on your projects. Share your project with others! There is ample space for 10 –everyone will have their own table. Wireless internet is also available.
